This year’s Christmas show is, “A Melodrama Christmas Carol”. It was a dark and stormy night. Local grinch and penny-pinching miser, Jedediah Stooge, had settled in for a long winter’s nap. That is until the ghost of his old business partner, Farley McFarley, arrives to teach him the true meaning of Christmas and to send him on a journey of self discovery through his past, present and future. If this sounds like a familiar Christmas tale, that’s because, it is! The Melodrama is taking a whole new spin on the classic Charles Dickens tale, filled with humor, music and the Christmas Spirit. The first Christmas show ever performed here at The Melodrama was A Christmas Carol. So it only seemed fitting, as we finish up our tenth year of operation, to present a brand new version of this timeless classic. Come celebrate a Bakersfield Christmas tradition with your friends and family and help ring in the New Year with all of us here at The Melodrama. This brand new Christmas show was written and directed by our very own cheermeister, Michael Prince.
