Dave Attell
Tickets available at Temblor Brewing Company and online at Eventbrite.com
Although he had been performing stand-up comedy at open mic nights throughout Manhattan since the late ’80s, Dave Attell’s career as a professional comedian took off in 1993 when “Saturday Night Live” creator Lorne Michaels saw him appear on “The Late Show with David Letterman.” Michaels recruited Attell as a writer, which led to on-camera opportunities and ushered him into the professional comedy scene. Over the next few years, Attell developed a close relationship with HBO, appearing twice in HBO specials alongside Louis C.K., Anthony Clark, Eric Tunney and Dave Chappelle and starring in his own 60-minute installment of HBO Comedy Showcase and an episode of HBO Comedy Half-Hour. Drawing on his New York roots, Attell’s bold style of comedy is raw and highly original with a pronounced affinity for dark, off-color humor. Attell’s other television credits include “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” where he was a writer and commentator, Comedy Central’s “Insomniac with Dave Attell” where he would act as a “tour guide” exploring the late night happenings of cities around the world and “Comedy Underground with Dave Attell” which featured mostly uncensored stand-up performances and guest comedians including Amy Shumer, Ari Shaffer, Jeff Ross, Brad Williams, Nikki Glaser, Louis Katz and Ralphie May among others.
Must be 18+ to attend.
