Music
Celtica – With their unique sound of blazing bagpipes, mighty drums and the power of a rock band, CELTICA takes by storm all audiences from Highland Games and town festivals, to bankers and punk rockers.
Wrenwood Sessions was formed in 2010 when five musicians playing in church discovered their mutual love for Irish and Scottish folk music – the traditional “Celtic” music of the Isles. Today the group consists of six members: David Barringer (keys, accordion, vocals), Jeff Cram (whistles, bohdran), Anne Grogan (vocals, fiddle), Valerie Lewis (harp), Steve Lewis (guitars, octave mandolin) and Jeremy Swanson (fiddle, mandola). Based in Bakersfield, California, the ensemble performs at festivals, gatherings, private functions, weddings, churches, and restaurants.
Bakersfield’s sirens of Irish song, strings and accordion. Banshee in the Kitchen are back with their beautiful renditions of traditional Irish songs and melodies.
Sligo Rags Named among the top acoustic bands in LA and two time winner of the Orange County Music Award for Best Folk Band, this dynamic ensemble presents Celtic Folk with a decidedly bluegrass attitude.
Bog Iron Born in the fog of the Monte.rey Bay, Bog Iron is a Celtic rock band with deep roots in the hard rock tradition. We formed in early 2008 with our original lineup: John Michael, Chris Burke, Tim Burke, Patrick Golden, and Dave Holodiloff. In the summer of 2008, Steve Lenard and Peter Sheehan replaced the Brothers Burke, and Dave Holodiloff played his last show with us on St. Patrick’s Day 2009.
Bakersfield’s longest running Irish/Scottish band Whiskey Galore is back with their up on your feet, American bred, Celtic fed, rousing renditions of traditional and pub tunes.
Al Wadi and Poso Creek have joined forces to bring a new and unique sound to this year’s Celtic Music Festival. We have blended our individual styles to create a tribal twist to traditional Celtic Music.
