In January of 2013 Max played an acoustic set at a metalcore show as a joke. 2 months later he began touring acoustic all over the east coast from North Carolina and New England. After a series of demos Gottem released a self titled full length with the help of Matt Aldawood of Troubled Minds. Kevin and James came and formed a three piece. Within the following months we released two more splits and have done numerous tours. Currently our line up is Max Gottesman, Tom Lizo, PJ Occoral, and Craig Warkoczeski. We are Long Island’s premier surf punk band for people who don’t surf.
