Grapes of Wrath Free Speaker Series
To honor the 75th Anniversary of the publication of The Grapes of Wrath, CSU Bakersfield has been hosting a year-long series of events, from lectures, art installations, and a photography exhibit, to concerts, theater performances, a science fair, and a campus and community book reading. This extended attention to Steinbeck’s 1939 novel will culminate at CSUB in a 3-day interdisciplinary academic conference on the cultural legacy of The Grapes of Wrath and its place in American culture.
