THE CONCERT
Join Dave Stamey, six-time Entertainer of the Year, and Erin Inglish, California’s banjo sweetheart, under the cottonwoods for an afternoon of timeless western music.
DAVE STAMEY
Cowboys and Indians Magazine has called him “the Charley Russell of Western Music.” Western Horseman Magazine has declared his “Vaquero Song” to be one of the greatest Western songs of all time. He has been voted Six times Entertainer of the Year, Six times Male Performer of the Year and Five timesSongwriter of the Year by the Western Music Association, and received the Will Rogers Award from the Academy of Western Artists. He’s delighted audiences in twenty three states, and finds that he prefers this to being stomped by angry horses.
ERIN INGLISH
Erin Inglish is California’s banjo sweetheart! A native of the California Central Coast, Erin delivers a unique presentation of voice and banjo that is reminiscent of the sounds of John Hartford and the activist stylings of Peggy Seeger. Formerly a mechanical engineer in the field of sustainability, Erin now tours internationally as a folk music troubadour. From the thoughtful and conscientious messages in her songwriting, to her magnetic and entertaining stage-presence, Erin is a consummate performer and humanistic storyteller.
THE CAUSE
Proceeds from the concert will benefit children in Kern County and the surrounding area. Nearly 170,000 children have participated in Wind Wolves Preserves award-winning outdoor education programs. These programs are offered free of charge so that children may know the wonder and joy of nature.
