July 4th Community Celebration Returns To Park At River Walk For 2016
Live Music, Food, Children’s Activities and Fireworks Show

Bakersfield, CA – Bakersfield, CA – The City of Bakersfield and AEG are excited to host the annual July 4th Community Celebration at the Park at River Walk, featuring a free fireworks show and live entertainment at the Bright House Networks Amphitheatre. The event is made possible by the contributions of generous sponsors, including Sunshine Metal Clad, KSI Industries, Cal Water, Nissan of Bakersfield and Haddad Dodge, So Cal Gas, PG&E, Kern Refuse, Tejon Ranch, E&B Natural Resources, and the California Independent Petroleum Association. The event will get started at 6:00 PM featuring music by Foster Campbell & Friends, with fireworks scheduled for 9:00 PM. Food and beverage will be available for sale by Barrington’s Jamaican Kitchen, Curbside Kitchen and Carney Kettle Corn. There will also be games and activities including bounce houses available for children.
Parking for this event will be available in adjacent lots and at the vacant lot on the south west corner of Stockdale Hwy and Buena Vista Road. Parking will not be allowed in the commercial district along Stockdale Highway. The Park at River Walk is located at 11298 Stockdale Highway, Bakersfield, CA 93313.
Designated picnic shelters and areas throughout the Park are available for reservations, though they are not required to attend the event. Reservations must be made in person. Call the City of Bakersfield Recreation and Parks Department at 326-3866 for availability and cost.
