The Bakersfield Music Hall of Fame is a home of a different kind, celebrating the sound and style of music that put Bakersfield on the map.

The Hall of Fame is located in the building that used to house the American Sound recording studios at 23rd and Q Street.
Carter and his wife Kim McAbee-Carter put in roughly a million dollars worth of renovations. McAbee, who performed with the legendary Buckaroo’s says this is the start of a whole new chapter in Kern County’s music scene.
