Caitlin Anne Webster and Iain Weigert with special guest Amber Michelle
Choice fingerpicking, pedal steel guitars, and lush arrangements of sorrowful poetry characterize Iain Weigert’s sound. A former Bainbridge Island resident, Iain Weigert hails from Los Angeles, by way of New Orleans, by way of the Pacific Northwest. He is proudly releasing his debut album, which features a variety of musicians including Daniel Romano (City and Colour), Matt Pynn (Norah Jones), and many others.
There’s a casual honesty to Caitlin Anne Webster that wavers somewhere between romantic and brutal, delivering truths of longing, love, sex and the hardships of modern living. The soulful Los Angeles singer-songwriter brings an easy swagger to her personal blend of blues and Americana — as documented on her debut EP, 2015’s Black Moon — focusing often on those universal themes that revolve around our lives like the lunar cycle.
Now a mainstay in the L.A. music scene, Webster credits the city’s palpable creative pulse in helping her define her voice, as she refines a unique personal style over groundwork laid by influences that range from Linda Ronstadt to Otis Redding. Webster has toured with Rocco DeLuca, performed at Echo Park Rising and has been a frequent guest at L.A.’s Grande Ole Echo and John Ennis’ John Ennis Presents variety show. Her song “Black Moon” was featured in ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars in 2015
